7 Tips for Weight Loss

Tip Number 1:
One of the most important tips on losing weight is to always plan each and every meal for that day. Often times it is best if you could actually plan 3 – 4 days worth of meals at a time. That way you can make sure that your body receives the proper amount of calories and nutrition to perform all of your daily activities without feeling tired and drained. And especially not to feel hungry.

                                                                                                         Tip Number 2:
The next tip follows right along with tip number one. That is to prepare your meals ahead of time. Now I know that it might be difficult to prepare a week' s worth of meals at a time but you should be able to prepare 3 – 4 days worth of meals in advance. You could even store each of the meals in a microwavable container. That way all you have to do is pop the container in the microwave and you have a nice nutritious, tasty hot meal.

Tip Number 3:
Make sure that eat breakfast within the first 30 – 60 minutes of waking up. This will balance your blood sugar and your insulin levels. This put your body into fat burning mode for the day. If you do not eat within those first 30 – 60 minutes of waking up your body will usually go into starvation mode in the majority of food that you eat throughout the day will be stored as fat.

Tip Number 4:
Your breakfast should include 14 – 30 gms of protein. Your breakfast should also include a good healthy carbohydrate such as whole wheat or rye bread. If you wanted to supercharger breakfast you could even add spinach to your morning meal. And you could even add a nice piece of fruit like a half cup of blueberries or even a small to medium-size Apple.

Tip Number 5:
The next tip will surprise most of you. You should eat every 3 – 4 hours throughout the day. This will help maintain your energy levels and also balance your blood sugar and insulin levels and continue to keep you in fat burning mode throughout the day. Many people do exactly the opposite of this by starving themselves throughout the day and having one very large meal at nighttime. This is the worst thing that you can possibly do if your goal is to lose weight. People do not realize that your stomach is most active from 6 AM until 6 PM. So the majority of food that you eat should be consumed during those hours.

Tip Number 6:
When you are trying to lose weight vegetables are your best friends. Vegetables provide your body with all the nutrients that it needs for you to function at your peak capacity each and every day. You should eat both the raw vegetables and cooked vegetables. A nice goal would be to eat at least 1 pound of vegetables each and every day. And please be sure to eat your cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and Brussels sprouts as they provide a large amount of nourishment for your body.

Tip Number 7:
Going for a 20 – 30 minute walk before lunch and dinner is a great habit to acquire. Not only will a contribute to good heart health but it will also burn a nice amount of calories.
